Still have questions?

We'd love to hear about your experiences using these items and if you too are successful in creating your very own little one. All suggestions and feedback on how to improve this little kit are very welcome.

The Tily Blooms syringe and collection cup are each certified for single use only. As a Class 1 MHRA registered medical device, this is a safety requirement — not a cost decision. Each kit contains everything you need for your insemination attempt, manufactured and assembled to strict quality standards so you can use it with complete confidence.

Fertility specialists typically recommend trying for 3 to 6 cycles, as conception can take time even under ideal conditions. If you haven’t conceived after six cycles, we suggest speaking with your GP or fertility specialist to explore your next steps.

Absolutely! Our syringes are suitable for use with both fresh and thawed cryogenically frozen sperm (please see guidelines from sperm banks for best practice).

For the best chance of success, inseminate during your fertile window. This is the time leading up to and including ovulation. If you're using our full kit, ovulation tests are included to help you pinpoint your most fertile days.

No - all components of the Tily Blooms kit are individually packaged and assembled in a certified clean room, so they’re ready to use straight out of the box. In fact, washing parts with water or soap can damage sperm and reduce your chances of conception, so we strongly advise against it.

Sperm is at its most viable within the first 30 minutes of collection. However, it can remain active for up to one hour if kept at room temperature. We recommend inseminating as soon as possible after collection for optimal results.

Tily Blooms proudly supports a diverse range of individuals and families on their path to parenthood — including heterosexual couples, LGBTQ+ couples, solo parents by choice, people using surrogates, and anyone looking for an alternative to intercourse-based conception.

However, the kit is not suitable for everyone. Please do not use the kit if:

You or your donor/partner has been diagnosed with azoospermia (no sperm present)
You do not ovulate or have blocked or absent fallopian tubes
You've been advised that it is unsafe for you to become pregnant
Either party has a sexually transmitted infection or virus, including active herpes, hepatitis, or HIV

If you're unsure about any of the above, it’s best to speak with a healthcare provider before using the kit.

Using the soft cervical disc can feel a bit tricky at first — you’re not alone! Like anything new, it may take a little practice. Here are a few tips to help:

Pinch the disc in the middle and gently slide it into the vaginal canal, angling it slightly downward and backward
Once inserted, tuck the front rim up behind the pubic bone to keep it in place
To remove, hook your finger under the front rim and gently pull it out

We’re always here to help — if you need further support or have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Yes – it’s completely normal to see some of the sperm sample leak out after insemination.

Semen acts as the carrier fluid for sperm, and once it’s delivered the sperm near the cervix, it’s no longer needed and often exits the body naturally. This is a common and expected part of the process and doesn’t mean insemination hasn’t been successful.

During ovulation, your body also produces more cervical mucus – which is naturally quite wet. When you combine that with the sperm sample, some extra fluid is to be expected.

To help keep sperm closer to the cervix:

👉Try placing a pillow under your hips after insemination

👉Stay lying down for 30-60 minutes

👉Use a soft cervical disc to help hold the sperm in place (included in the complete Tily Blooms kit)

Tily Blooms pregnancy tests have a 10 mIU/ml sensitivity, meaning they are designed to detect low levels of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) — the hormone your body produces in early pregnancy.

This makes them an early detection pregnancy test, suitable for use before or around the time of your expected period. However, for the most accurate result, we recommend testing on or after the day your period is due, as hCG levels increase rapidly in early pregnancy.

Testing too early can sometimes result in a false negative pregnancy test, simply because there is not yet enough hCG in your urine to be detected.

For the best chance of an accurate result, we recommend:

  • Using first morning urine
  • Following the instructions carefully
  • Retesting 48 hours later if your result is negative but your period still hasn’t arrived

If you are trying to conceive using a home insemination kit, it can be tempting to test early — but waiting until closer to your expected period will give you the most reliable result.

At the moment, Tily Blooms is regulated for sale in the UK only.

We are currently working towards EU regulatory approval, but for now our home insemination kits are only available for purchase and use within the UK market.

This is because Tily Blooms is a regulated medical device, and we are committed to ensuring our products meet the correct regulatory standards in every market we sell in.

As we continue to grow, expanding internationally is very much part of our plan — and we hope to be able to support more families outside the UK in the future.

If you're based outside the UK and would like to hear when this changes, feel free to get in touch with us.

MHRA compliance means Tily Blooms has been developed in line with the requirements for a regulated medical device in the UK.

The MHRA is the UK regulator responsible for overseeing the safety, quality and compliance of medical devices.

For our customers, this means our home insemination kit has been designed with careful consideration around:

  • Safety
  • Hygiene
  • Single-use use
  • Body-safe materials
  • Clear instructions for use

Not all home insemination products on the market are regulated, which is why this is something we take very seriously at Tily Blooms.

Yes — key parts of the Tily Blooms home insemination kit are manufactured in the UK.

Our syringe, collection cup and fertility lubricant are all made in the UK, helping us maintain a high level of quality, consistency and control across the most important parts of the insemination process.

Some additional items within the kit are sourced from trusted manufacturing partners outside of the UK, selected carefully to ensure they meet our standards for quality, safety and suitability.

At Tily Blooms, we are committed to creating a home insemination kit that is not only thoughtfully designed, but also produced with care and quality in mind.

Both kits are designed to support a safe and effective at-home insemination experience — the difference comes down to how much support and preparation you’d like included.

The Essential Kit contains the core tools needed for insemination:

  • Collection cup
  • Fertility wand (syringe)
  • Step-by-step guidance

It’s ideal if you already feel confident tracking your cycle or prefer a more simple, streamlined option.

The Complete Kit includes everything in the Essential Kit, plus additional items to support your full fertility journey:

  • Ovulation tests to help you identify your most fertile window
  • Pregnancy tests for early detection
  • Fertility-friendly lubricant to support a sperm-friendly environment
  • Soft cervical discs to help keep sperm close to the cervix after insemination

The Complete Kit is perfect if you want a more guided, all-in-one experience, with everything you need in one place.
